Emorational language
I'm working on an infection control campaign at the moment, reminding hospital staff to wash their hands when they're working on the wards. I came across this charming series of illustrations by Didier Pittet for the University of Geneva Hospitals, showing how they approached a similar campaign.
He makes the point that we think both rationally and emotionally, and that educational messages are most effective when we address both areas. He calls this 'emorational language'. Nice. I must remember that.
