Brewing up colours

Census Atlas CMYK values

A handy little resource here on Cindy Brewer's site at Penn State University - the CMYK colour values used for the maps produced from the 2000 US Census data. The colour schemes are colour-blind safe and designed for maximum legibility - and they look good too.

Another lovely tool on the site is her interactive ColorBrewer for exploring different map colour palettes. A great time saver and settler of disputes.
