Architects slate 'mediocre' hospitals
There's a little piece in today's Guardian about hospital design, and it's not encouraging. It quotes a CABE/RCN report 'Healthy Hospitals: Radical Improvements in Design Emergency', which describes contemporary hospital design as lacking quality and imagination.
The frustrating thing is that this isn't just about money, it's about short-term thinking and managerial cowardice.
I see there are some nice ideas for future hospital design shown on the BBC website today.
